Funding
The University of Macerata considers research to be its main strategic activity. On the basis of what is indicated in the three-year development programme, the following areas are the particular focus of the scientific research conducted at the University:
• the development of projects involving several universities and research centres as well as projects for the formation of centres of excellence;
• the development of projects with the requirements of internationalisation and inter-regionalisation;
• the development of projects associated with the territory, that involve several regional structures and productive forces and re-launch research carried out by the university, opening it up more and more towards the outside;
• the strengthening of human resources dedicated to research, availing of financial resources originating from agreements with institutional partners and private partners for this aim;
• greater participation in public competitions so as to acquire the necessary funds to sustain research;
