Laura Pedata
Experienced in Environmental Architecture and Sustainable Design, her main interest lies in design research initiatives aimed at the improvement of energy performance in the built environment and in environmental regeneration strategies through observation, analysis and representation of urban landscape conditions and processes over time. She graduated in 2005 at the University of Rome “Sapienza”, school of Architecture “Ludovico Quaroni”. Licensed Architect since 2007. After her degree she founded the architecture office ungroup and took part in numerous national and international architecture competitions. In 2007 she won a Fulbright Scholarship and she attended a Master in Architecture Program at UCLA (MArchII), where she graduated with Distinction in June 2008. From 2009 to 2011 she was an Adjunct Professor at University of Rome “Sapienza”, school of Architecture. In 2012 she was employed by SOM in San Francisco as Architectural Professional – D Level. She is employed since 2013 at POLIS University in Tirana as Master Programs Coordinator and lecturer in Environmental Architecture and Landscape Architecture, where she is also taking part in research initiatives developed by the Applied Research Unit (IKHZ) of the school. She is also bioclimatic consultant for the Architecture Office Metropolis and the NGO Co_PLAN in Tirana (AL).
