Paola Nicolini
Born in Ancona on June, the 18th 1956. She worked at the University of Macerata as an assistant in the field of Developmental Psychology from 1988 to 1994. Then she worked as researcher of Developmental and Educational Psychology from 1994 at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of Perugia University, where she remained in charge till March 2005. From March 2005 to currently she is in charge at the University of Macerata as Associated Professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology. Her main theme of investigation is teachers’ and educators’ training. In this field her specialization is on Multiple Intelligence Theory and its application. She developed a qualitative system to observe and assess intelligences, building children profiles. She supervises a good practice at La Giocomotiva, in Milan, a private nursery and infant school. She also got involved in new technologies applied to e-learning and e-training processes, adopting an inclusive perspective. She was elected as President of the Equal Opportunities Committee in the University of Macerata from the academic year 2005-06 to 2009-2010. From November 2010 she is appointed by the Rector of the University of Macerata as his Delegate for Orientation, Tutoring, Job Placement and Special Needs Students Services. She wrote several books, chapters of books and articles, both at national and international level. |
